Happy Halloween pt. 2!

Think about our collection of alpaca...

They inspire within us otaku many sentiments beyond normal anime fandom that we cannot simply express here, now. However, the important thing is that they add style to any room. Also, they can be used as excellent pillows for rest and a nap. Lastly, in the otaku world we sometimes understand that you or we all get peeved by other people out there when they annoy us for any reason.

Therefore:
Alpaca in sensual muzzles!

They are just for the anime fan who
is a bit stressed out in the real world...

The Bubble Witch is the New Spring Prescription for You

Stella vs. Wilbur!

Work Your Magic!
So you've got a phone, a smartphone, and you're bored. When you're not reading our blog here at the Otaku Reviewers, there's a ton of games to play for procrastination, time wasting, and between the scenes fun. I mean, that's just only if you think its right to spend your time playing more phone games than on other fancy websites like Youtube. That and not to sound rude but you deserve a break of your very own, if you feel like the times are catching up to you and Hillary (remember election 2016) did not help you feel like a true pop culture enthusiast but like something else entirely. It's Bubble Witch to the rescue with some anime flair, intelligent-socialite cats, fairies, pimpin your places, and last but certainly not least, "Stella the Witch".
More flair for Bubble Witch Stella

What game are you playing now? 2p for SNES!
That reminds us, there's the old-school hit "Bust-a-Move" for SNES that reminisces just like the Bubble Witch series. Wildly popular, rented at high rates on Fridays, etc and etc, that was the greatness of Bust-A-Move. The one-player which could also be a two-player (or more if you bought cheat cartridges) was great, no complaints just TVs getting hot to the touch way before LED screens brought out the flatscreen. The trip back to Blockbuster was great!
Yoshi's Tetris Attack time trial, all you can play fun up to speed lvl 99!
If that's not enough to change your mind on Bubble Witch 3, you could remember Yoshi's Tetris Attack for SNES. Also a 2 player, if you liked that stuff that is. It is wildly awesome, just find somebody to play it with, right? Also you could have rented it at any Blockbuster or Hollywood Video you wanted to. The idea here, they were great games and you could get real competitive with the story and with friends.

What happens when you're alone with your smartphone and you want to get that same happy feeling? The long answer, for long lasting, abounding joy is Final Fantasy XIII but the shorter answer is definitely Bubble Witch 3 on your phone. Instant gratification is in the animation style, scene progression, and sound fx. Not to mention within the computer programming code thats helping you see them all surprise you with bubble busting, Wilbur beating fun!

Stella and Co.
The idea here...
Play "Bubble Witch 3" on Your Phone!

The Otaku Guide to Creative Visualization

Visualization is a way of meditation that uses daydreams and dreams. Making it creative changes everything because that means you can change your own life. The anime, gaming factor is a choice to make, like the red or blue pill or red Mario and green Luigi. Choose the right idea, choose your fate.

An otaku’s got a pretty advantage over the ordinary person because they know and like anime, already. So its already easy to think about a bunch of cool things to do or be in the world. All the more it takes is to take some time to sit and relax or to get out there and be the person that you would really want to be. All of it actually is about taking the chance to be the person that we wish to be in the real world *IRL*.

A lot of the time people from IRL and adults like to poke fun at otaku and gamers, saying that they don’t know what they’re doing in the real world. Sometimes your parents do that, but then a lot of parents come back and say that they wish they liked anime if they had the choice. Think, “JUST HOW ORNERY IS THAT PIKACHU!”

Sometimes many adults mean it though and other times it’s just their harmless fun without any real bad intent. It’s not really logical to tell an otaku that. If I knew all that in February 2010 (6 years back) when I began this blog, I would have put double the work in, if it makes people feel so special to make fun of anime. No, not I wouldn’t have ever done it… Then if I never started it I would have never went to any conventions with Chansu or Deretsun, even to AX where Pierrot is the best expert. So it’s not really any sense for those other people who don’t like anime to criticize US for a little hobby. Maybe they would like to be anime fans too!

Or maybe, I will keep on using creative visualization until Professor Oak gives me a Pikachu of my own!

2nd Prime Time: Hero --> ULtd.

2 n d   P r i m e   T i m e

H e r o   U n - l i m i t e d!

What's your idea of a hero? Most people think of Superman, Batman, Green Lantern, Aquaman, The Living Flash, Spiderman, Cyclops, Jean Grey, Rogue, Storm and the list goes on and on. In American culture, these are the best of the best. They fight the bad guys, and win. They "kick ass and take names", as they say in North America. They're the unlimited heroes of comics.

Through communication with aliens, the mangaka in Japan have created a newer kind of hero, a better one. Referring to the early process of creating animation where Looney Toons was the standard cartoon. After that, around the time of Toonami, anime took over in pop culture and the fires of anime are still churning for bad guys to go right into. Though this is just the humble opinion of a random RPG loving otaku. That new hero, that burns baddies slowly is actually, maybe a weaker hero compared to the superheroes of the west, right?

They are the limited heroes. That, or Comic-con doesn't need NYAF to keep their attendance records (or do they?). The limited heroes are the shounen heroes of manga. They come from humble beginnings and are made fun of daily, before they actually become heroes. Even after that, they're always self-conscious about who they're fighting and why...

Short answer:  Because they were made fun of.

Long answer:  Because they are the limited hero which actually means that they're NOT heroes.

That's summed up best by Monkey D. Luffy: "Heroes have to share the meat..."

And began with Goku, Sailor Moon, Inuyasha, Yusuke Yurameshi. They all don't want to share the meat... Especially Inuyasha (gomenasai) (^^;)

Being that they're not heroes, makes them limited heroes. That's why they don't always have the "great power" that vanquishes all enemies no matter how strong or terrorfying. That's because they're gonna have to fight over dinner, over a hotpot or yakiniku preferably (It's Japan...). They need friends, unlike Superman in his Arctic Fortress of Might where he longs for friends (though that would make anyone very good... or evil).

When they're on their way to the top, they fall down. The stronger ones, get back up only to fall again and again. See they're only as strong as their mangaka (hehe). In explanation, they're always either getting into it with villains or actively seeking villains to make congruent to goodness (kick their butt). We should all know that, especially since most of us are always getting into it. The limited hero is cooler than because they would save you or me, given the choice. And the limited hero would probably get older while doing it, as opposed to being immortal like Superman or Batman.

The question is:
Are you a limited or a unlimited hero?
Are you an Otaku for life?

2nd Prime Time: Village to the Seas

2nd Prime Time
Village Meets the Seas

Fashion ~
For the beginning of the end, or the grander line. Go formal or mix and match your best outerwear. In this try, use light colored clothing or use the darker side. That's to show or hide your inner darkness or light. Choose carefully...

Trafalgar Law

Kuchiki Byakuya

Ego ~
Take a flashback and summon up your kid self. Think of shows like Naruto and One Piece where even before the first episode, the main characters had exciting young childhood lives that contrast with their hardcore adventure.

Blues ~
Don't fall into the trap of being too shounen, be as sad as you are actually during your days. Cry a little or be downcast in the broadcast, even if the days are sunny and warm. There's no turnaround to better days without the blues right there by your side on the bad days.

Mandala Harmony ~
What comes to mind in anime is FMA brotherhood or Clannad's Dango Daikazoku, right? Your own unity circle is between those two in truth. Put personal things in or even put some people in. You won't have good or bad dreams, without one (^^;)

2nd Prime Time: D2D

D2D: Dream 2 Dream

This begins the newest O.Rev. series, 2nd Prime Time. This is meant to highlight various otaku and pop culture memes that have "it", referring to the essence of being hip, fresh, and cool as passionate followers of our nerdy niche of pop culture, i.e. anime, manga, video games, and other pop culture otherwise created and conceived in Japan, that small yet way advanced Asian country. There is no format, the information is intended solely for the readers.

Style + Fashion- ~~~ Colors~~~
To gain a real style that sets you apart in the world of popular culture, one way to achieve this without actually discovering new articles of clothing and accessories is to change your colors. They can be changed to match your unique ideals. Use the link right over this text to find some color meanings for your own new style. Choose any clothes, the ones you like only only on color for a while and you'll notice a change. If it doesn't work, it'll buy you enough time to get more clothes and colors!

Ego + Power ~~~RPG~~~
In RPG and shounen anime, all characters have a class and a power. We know that, we here at O.Rev. have taken that journey for what seems to be years. We've seen conventions and we've been near other anime fans in their unique late adolescence or adulthood... We're convinced in the blaring controversy of the emerging current events, that normal, regular people are endowed with special traits. This is to save new anime manga video gamers the stress of wondering why not. Don't. There is a wikihow for everything, try learning Yusuke's spirit blast or Goku's Kamehameha before bed. You will get those powers in your dreams, trust me it works. It beats not having good dreams...

Accessories~~~ Journal/Smartphone notes
Use your smartphone for notes. If you take down enough notes, you'll have a log of notes from various dates that you can check. Once you have a long list, it helps. Just don't lose your phone or you'll lose your long range track of thoughts. And your phone.

Welcome to
The Otaku Reviewers

This blog, "The Otaku Reviewers", was started in February of 2010 on this very same platform, Blogger. At first, it was a venture into the informational and informal world of comics, anime, video games, and Japanese culture. In other words, just a random blog.

Over time, the founder of the blog credited with the pseudonym "RPGhero" was joined by two fellow bloggers and friends with the names "Chansu" and "Deretsun". Together the three bloggers looked up interesting Japanese culture facts, recommended new anime, talked about their own "otaku" interests, and traveled across the United States to various anime conventions.

There have been off periods when the blog ceased production of content and there have been times when there would be dozens of blog posts per week. The schedule varies depending on the lives of the people behind the alias'. However the pattern is that we always get back into the game with even newer information about Japanese culture, anime, video games, and other nerdy hobbies.

The motto of our blog is:
"A cure for your apathy and an inspiration for your dreams. ...Applies to Otaku, anime fans, J-pop junkies, and the like"

The purpose is to blog about cool stuff related solely to anime and otaku stuff. There's no other reason we're doing this.

If you like our blog, please support us in however small a way that you would like. We appreciate our readers!

Check it out on Amazon!
