The weird world of Japanese anime figures, 3
Not quite Japanese anime, but they are figures, and they are from Japan. Who even knows who these characters are??
So besides massive success of Avengers in Japan, and Kingdom Hearts III potentially adding some Goerge Lucas and Marvel goodness to their repertoire, there are also figures (figma even) of some amazing Disney + Marvel figures going on. Check them out!

All Aboard the Kingdom Hearts Hype Train!!
The Door To Light opens for fans of the Kingdom Hearts series!
How many years has it been since an official, honest to goodness sequel of Kingdom Hearts? I can answer that.... 10 years. Ten years. We've had Chain of Memories, coded, 358/2 Days, Birth By Sleep, (re)coded, Dream Drop Distance, and TWO Remixes. Everyone's yearning for that "Three". Well now you can hear the news for yourself!
Along with that, game developers have hinted at newer Disney arrivals (Marvel, Star Wars) to appear in Kingdom Hearts 3. I know what you guys are thinking...
Some Toy Story 3 or Frozen love for Kingdom Hearts? We shall see if that's in the works or not. What we do know is Square is pulling out all the stops to make Kingdom Hearts 3 an amazing experience. They have crafted their own in-house Luminous Engine for game development and are using the Unreal Engine... interestingly enough. This may not be a bad thing, as KH3 will sport cool battle abilities such as Keyblade Transformations and Attraction Flow, a cool way to traverse the battlefield and fight a more dynamic battle.
If you haven't been keeping up with the story of Kingdom Hearts (I mean who has? It's the most convoluted plot of all video game history) KH3 will be picking up right after the events in Dream Drop Distance, so check that game out before the new story begins!

Fireball "Charming" ~Season 2~!
You won't believe what my most anticipated series for the Spring season is! Fireball's second season, "Fireball Charming"! And let me tell you, it surely lives up to both it's prequel and its name... it's just as spontaneously hilarious and and endearing as before!

Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep is OUT
The legendary Kingdom Hearts series is back with it's latest installment, "Birth By Sleep".
The series had been legendary from it's beginning with Kingdom Hearts (1). Within the game they combined aspects and characters of Final Fantasy with aspects and characters of various Disney movies. It had come out at a time when I was abandoning Disney movies to save face with my high school persona. However with this new mix I found that Disney movies are pretty cool. I can sing little Mermaid songs and name all the seven dwarfs if only because they existed in the same world as Cloud and Leon from Final Fantasy 7 and 8. The main character, Sora who's 14, was flung from his world into the world of Disney characters and allied with Donald and Goofy in order to find his friends...
Then with Kingdom Hearts 2, Sora got older (he's 16 now) and his voice got deeper. His adventure continued in his quest to find his friends Riku and Kairi. The themes in this game got alittle more complicated and focused on some heavy things like existentialism, hypocrasy, and paradoxes. I really should play the whole game again it was that intense.
Now Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep is out. Within this game the story follows the Keyblade masters before Sora who were also guided by Mickey. And yes, there's still many Disney worlds and characters who play very big parts in this RPG. I'm looking forward to it if the themes are anything like those in KH2.
This PSP release is definitely building to a large scale PS3 release continuing Sora's story probably in his twenties (he'll at least be 18 if they follow the two year skip pattern), long down the road (which is slated for release in a within a year or two).
Go get it!

The Otaku Reviewers
This blog, "The Otaku Reviewers", was started in February of 2010 on this very same platform, Blogger. At first, it was a venture into the informational and informal world of comics, anime, video games, and Japanese culture. In other words, just a random blog.
Over time, the founder of the blog credited with the pseudonym "RPGhero" was joined by two fellow bloggers and friends with the names "Chansu" and "Deretsun". Together the three bloggers looked up interesting Japanese culture facts, recommended new anime, talked about their own "otaku" interests, and traveled across the United States to various anime conventions.
There have been off periods when the blog ceased production of content and there have been times when there would be dozens of blog posts per week. The schedule varies depending on the lives of the people behind the alias'. However the pattern is that we always get back into the game with even newer information about Japanese culture, anime, video games, and other nerdy hobbies.
The motto of our blog is:
"A cure for your apathy and an inspiration for your dreams. ...Applies to Otaku, anime fans, J-pop junkies, and the like"
The purpose is to blog about cool stuff related solely to anime and otaku stuff. There's no other reason we're doing this.
