Which sounds better?

This is potentially a repost but I just wanted an excuse to blog about One Piece...

English - Believe in Wonderland

Spanish - Believe in Wonderland

Japanese ORIGINAL -  Believe in Wonderland

Yeah Dub comparisons!!!

Just to clarify... Shanks lost his arm saving Luffy, before Luffy vowed to be a pirate like him.
If that's a spoiler... there's 400+ episodes. GO WATCH ONE PIECE!

RPGHero's Jpop video of the Night!

Toumei Datta Sekai by Hata Motohiro
Also the current opening of Naruto! And the insert song of my life...

What did I really lose on that day?
I forgot long ago

We lost sight of each other in the twilight
What's more; we were unable to return

Somewhere our brittle, broken hearts
Try to hide behind strong words
Try to hide

Farewell, although we couldn't be together
We will carry on
Even in a world where you no longer exist, I will run
Passing through each day's pain
Passing through

The scent of grass of the broken glass in the “wounded” summer
Hey, where are you now?

In the time you have hated muddy water which was clean before
I have grown up

The reflection from the surface of the water was wobbling
Even now, the light still shines
The light still shines

Farewell, we waved hands that day
What had changed you
And yet, I’m still living
Overcoming my urge to cry in the night

What did I really lose on that day?

Farewell, although we couldn't be together
We will carry on
I’ll make the world run
Someday when I see through the future
Seeing through

Throwback Opening of the Night: Yu Yu Hakusho

Remember when Cartoon Network played Yu Yu Hakusho?? Why if you do you're old like me haha. That was back in 2002. Those were the good old days.

Toonami should make a comeback!!

Anyway check out Yu Yu Hakusho if you like shounen anime and got nothing to watch. I won't spoil it with the summary though. The full length opening sequence will do that for you.

Angel Beats! :::Anime Recommendation:::

So you've died. Now what? Do you try and stand up against fate? Or will you disappear without a fight?

Angel Beats (my second favorite anime) is about a group of people who are already dead and try to fight their way out of disappearing. What does it truly mean to disappear? Is it as bad as it seems? And who is this mysterious, supernatural, and silver haired girl they call "Angel"?

This anime is truly heart wrenching. Every side story makes you want to cry. But if you can handle it, this is another masterpiece by Key that I HIGHLY recommend. Chansu and I both love it.

Just the animation makes me want to cry. Check it out for yourself! Here's the opening. The song is called My Soul Your Beats By Lia and you can watch it here:

(uploaded myself, just for you guys! :))

Partial first episode spoiler:
It starts out with a new soul entering this world after dying on earth. He meets these weird people who point at this girl with a sniper scope, call her an Angel, and claim to be at war against her. Seeing nothing but an innocent silver-haired girl through the scope, the new guy doesn't understand. Unconvinced, the new guy walks towards the angel, but he's in for an unpleasant surprise.

If you want more you're going to have to check it out for yourself!

So if you get a chance, don't forget to check out Angel Beats!

...And check out Yui in action!
(Sneek peek at my moe-list: Yui = pink haired girl below. She is in my top 5! :))

That's all for today. Thanks for reading! ^^

Popular Opinion: One Piece Opening 12

A subject of popular debate between me and Chansu is the coolness factor of One Piece Opening 12: Kaze Wo Sagashite by the Hexagon Family.

I believe that it's a great opening and that the song matches the mood of the arc, not by the sound of it but by the lyrics and meaning behind the song which serve to boost the coolness of the arc. Chansu thinks that this song does not match the mood of the arc. That there was something cooler that could have been used. Probably also that the coolness of the arc itself is what's carrying the opening.

It might be alittle of both...

Well decide for yourselves!

Welcome to
The Otaku Reviewers

This blog, "The Otaku Reviewers", was started in February of 2010 on this very same platform, Blogger. At first, it was a venture into the informational and informal world of comics, anime, video games, and Japanese culture. In other words, just a random blog.

Over time, the founder of the blog credited with the pseudonym "RPGhero" was joined by two fellow bloggers and friends with the names "Chansu" and "Deretsun". Together the three bloggers looked up interesting Japanese culture facts, recommended new anime, talked about their own "otaku" interests, and traveled across the United States to various anime conventions.

There have been off periods when the blog ceased production of content and there have been times when there would be dozens of blog posts per week. The schedule varies depending on the lives of the people behind the alias'. However the pattern is that we always get back into the game with even newer information about Japanese culture, anime, video games, and other nerdy hobbies.

The motto of our blog is:
"A cure for your apathy and an inspiration for your dreams. ...Applies to Otaku, anime fans, J-pop junkies, and the like"

The purpose is to blog about cool stuff related solely to anime and otaku stuff. There's no other reason we're doing this.

If you like our blog, please support us in however small a way that you would like. We appreciate our readers!

Check it out on Amazon!
