There's more anime in your memes than ever before. Since anime conventions are almost over stateside and there are so many anime fans everywhere, its easy to miss a few anime references to real life or memes just for anime fans. Anyway here they are... How many do you already know?

PokemonGO hits NYC My-Sweet-Home!

PokemonGO is the summer's new emerging fad among kids and older kids/twenty-somethings. They're all walking around town trying to catch the Pikachu of their dreams. If it were that simple, we would have had something like PokemonGO for everything we do, right? Like food and google maps!
Leaving all of that aside, and how you met your teacher on the bus. There's much more about PokemonGO that fans and otaku think are pretty cool. With the game, the app installed on your smart phone, you can go anywhere your phone goes and catch some of your favorite pokemon 150 or 350. Places have been geo-cached for the app and their stats such as climate, people traffic, leisure electronics, accounts of the players are all merged for the game's interface. That means that if your phone is good enough you can interact with all of those things in the Pokemon Universe. However, be careful because if you're walking the excitement can add to the stress of traveling down the street, whatever that is for you.
The game has Pokemon battle functions there also so some willing trainers may want to fight. If you both agree to a duel, you match your Pokemon with theirs to grow their stats, if you win. The battles can happen anywhere the two players are so they're added to the game's interface capability. Even if you don't battle just playing adds to the PokemonGO system.
It kind of makes us wonder, will Pokemon come out with a DS game with better and more things to do. It would already have been geocached to myriads of millions of places and tech. So play as much PokemonGO as you want and you'll become a Pokemon master before Christmas!

Training to beat that bad guy... Or for the beach body
It's almost summer! Do you know what that means?
That means it's almost time to hit the beach. When you go to the beach you want to be in your top shape to get the most stares from those cute boys or girls. In order to do that you have to TRAIN!
Training also comes in handy when you're up against an enemy. I'm not saying that it's wise to start fist fights in this day and age but it does help to be agile enough to run fast and hit hard so you can then run fast. Because everyone is trigger happy these days.
What does Goku do to get ready for the beach... the beaches of Namek.
Just remember that even if you train like Goku, you can't throw a Kamehameha.
Or you could fight for hours and hours against your "zanpatou" and learn bankai... This is the result of hours upon hours of training...
Or you can just be like Baki and train all the time...
Well I don't know where I'm going with this...
Just train hard and eat right...
You'll have a beach bod in no time
Beach bod = Bankai/Super Saiyan/Grappler Baki
On second thought I was just kidding.
But really...
In apology for this sorry excuse of a post...

The Opening of Last Summer: Jpop Video of the Day
View by Sukima Switch
Chansu played this whenever he hopped in the car last summer lol. He musta knew the lyrics...
With this view that I have from my car
There's no difference between the ocean and the sky
The blue continues on for so long that it's irritating
Hey, grasp ahold of the handle
We're going to drive through that tunnel
This is the first time I've come here since that day
The ocean in Yaizu, not Izu
When I'm at home, the stink
Makes my car radio break up
The tunnel is ending again
I believe in "eternal love"
And the truth is that I'm your servant
Sometimes I showed you that
Festive in my kind actions
A vision of the future
In having not noticed it, the thing that was created
Was this you
Hurry and slip out of this darkess, to what's ahead
I've lost interest in remembering your body
Why don't I care about
What's waiting in the future that's opened up before me
Since when have I been this strong?
I can see the exit through a break in the rain
It's like it's drawing in the light
Even though you're 2000 m. away
I definitely didn't forget abotu you
Even though the tunnel is ending
The sun sets before my eyes
I speed up
Let's run away to the ocean
A vision of the future
In having not noticed it, the thing that was broken
Was that person there
Slip out of the darkness
Instead of forgetting about you, yes,
I might as well not let you forget about me
Until you die
That's the answer to this journey
I go just one more time to where you are

The Otaku Reviewers
The Otaku Reviewers
This blog, "The Otaku Reviewers", was started in February of 2010 on this very same platform, Blogger. At first, it was a venture into the informational and informal world of comics, anime, video games, and Japanese culture. In other words, just a random blog.
Over time, the founder of the blog credited with the pseudonym "RPGhero" was joined by two fellow bloggers and friends with the names "Chansu" and "Deretsun". Together the three bloggers looked up interesting Japanese culture facts, recommended new anime, talked about their own "otaku" interests, and traveled across the United States to various anime conventions.
There have been off periods when the blog ceased production of content and there have been times when there would be dozens of blog posts per week. The schedule varies depending on the lives of the people behind the alias'. However the pattern is that we always get back into the game with even newer information about Japanese culture, anime, video games, and other nerdy hobbies.
The motto of our blog is:
"A cure for your apathy and an inspiration for your dreams. ...Applies to Otaku, anime fans, J-pop junkies, and the like"
The purpose is to blog about cool stuff related solely to anime and otaku stuff. There's no other reason we're doing this.
