The Dreamscape pt. 2

The Dreamscape pt. 2

Can you feel the icy wind?

Against the barrister

And the jarring motion

Of cold teeth

The chattering

Of pots and pans

Along with moaning

Across the wooden floors

Or the misted air

Warming the inside of the pane

As if to say

You don’t need your mittens

To hold a sweet portion

Against the salty air…

The Dreamscape

The Dreamscape
There is a world of dreams
Where everything is not as it seems
In the recesses of a night’s repose
Unfulfilled thoughts open as your, conscious is closed
Does it make sense?
What you’ve always meant
You (only) know as much as you feel
There’s (alot) genius in what we (see) experience is real
Those images and sounds that you can’t comprehend
Are products of your own mental ends
Stories more intricate
And characters counterfeit
A setting almost too perfectly drawn
All part of your being (self) of dawn

Otaku Talk by RPGHero

Why do otaku love animals, cute characters, stylish clothing, sweet foods, and cool accessories?

Animals are naturally cute and cool. They have marble-like eyes that see very well and they're really comfortable and reliable as friends. If they let you lean on them or be their resting companion, you will gain a familiar for life. That, and their personality is always unique. Us otaku love and cherish our unique personalities as positive and creative forces in the Universe.

Why would a cute character be appealing to a grown man or... to the average otaku? Usually Otaku ARE NOT grown men. Most strong guys always say, "I wish I could be an otaku for life" if they were an actual otaku before they grew up... Cherish your days to watch anime, it's pretty cool in the anime world!

Who would say that they actually like anime?  POV --> Otaku.

???

Cute characters are the main characters, or they would be cuter still as villains. Villians make the cutest cute characters, right? :D

Not chibi, because any character can be turned into a chibi with little or no effort from a skilled manga artist. Chibi means a very short pudgy rep of a usually different character in an anime. Villians are not chibi when you first meet them and that goes for any main character.

That and girl anime characters are NOT chibi but can be drawn into a chibi mode! :O

And a cute character is a idealist model of the chibi style but usually as the star of the show and main character for*ever.

If you're not a cute character, you might be a minion, or even one of the Strawhat pirates but not Luffy. Sorry about the random One Piece reference, characteristic of RPGhero the blogger!

Style is key to shoujo life! Matching colors and being the best possible individual is the goal of life and anime, right? Some anime characters don't have fashion sense but they have a unique style, usually they're shounen chars. But shoujo anime have such style and fashion sense that no shounen anime could match...

Boys and girl's characters alike in shoujo are always dressed to impress, even in the most unusual of plot-lines.

Shounen is stylish too, the clothing is unique. And remember, the key here never leave home without a smile. Most shounen heroes smile no matter what is happening to them in the present moment. They know they're gonna win!

Maybe the Tensai Shoujo Girl and the Ultimate Shounen Hero have a chance to finally take over the real world.

Looking for the Twilight Zone in Anime??

Konbanwa fellow otaku. RPGHero here, reporting from... The Twilight Zone.

Just kidding haha.

I know there are many many of us out there who are fans of science fiction. This is a weird world we live in, however only weird in a bad way. But the stories of science fiction are strangely different, like the remedy. How many of you have played Chrono Cross?

and liked the feeling of being a teenager who traveled to his own parallel universe and fixed the distortion to boot?

Well we all like our share of science fiction... Just think about all of the science fiction based titles out there.

There's "Full Metal Alchemist"

Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood is an awesome series and there are many elements of science fiction within. In the new Brotherhood series they are still dealing with alchemy and a philosopher's stone that can do any alchemy. However all of the Humunculi come from an entity that decided it wanted to become a perfect existence. Definitely sci-fi masterpiece worthy.

Then "Chobits"

One big thing about the future is the possibility of humanoid robots that will begin to have emotions. This is the theme of chobits!

If you like Chobits then you'll like "Time of Eve"

Time of Eve is like Chobits but the emotional intelligence needed to watch and comprehend the plot is alittle bit higher. For older viewers only because prejudice is more of a theme mixed in with the humanoid robot theory.

If you haven't watched "Akira" you should either watch it now or stop being a serious anime fan

Akira is a sci fi movie with different themes, basically ESP and a futuristic setting. This is definitely for older audiences because of the graphic and darker quality of the plot. But it is an anime masterpiece and is acclaimed by the industry and by otaku at large!

Two words "Cowboy Bebop"

If Akira is a masterpiece than Cowboy Bebop is in the same league if not higher! Sci fi? Yes, Futuristic. Want to visit Mars and see the skyline at night? Look no further. This show is one for everyone's personal collection. Definitely buy it because every show involves themes that every educated otaku can take to heart!

Other titles you must check out are "Ghost in a Shell", "Paprika", "Code Geass", "Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, and "Final Fantasy Spirits Within", etc.

Welcome to
The Otaku Reviewers

This blog, "The Otaku Reviewers", was started in February of 2010 on this very same platform, Blogger. At first, it was a venture into the informational and informal world of comics, anime, video games, and Japanese culture. In other words, just a random blog.

Over time, the founder of the blog credited with the pseudonym "RPGhero" was joined by two fellow bloggers and friends with the names "Chansu" and "Deretsun". Together the three bloggers looked up interesting Japanese culture facts, recommended new anime, talked about their own "otaku" interests, and traveled across the United States to various anime conventions.

There have been off periods when the blog ceased production of content and there have been times when there would be dozens of blog posts per week. The schedule varies depending on the lives of the people behind the alias'. However the pattern is that we always get back into the game with even newer information about Japanese culture, anime, video games, and other nerdy hobbies.

The motto of our blog is:
"A cure for your apathy and an inspiration for your dreams. ...Applies to Otaku, anime fans, J-pop junkies, and the like"

The purpose is to blog about cool stuff related solely to anime and otaku stuff. There's no other reason we're doing this.

If you like our blog, please support us in however small a way that you would like. We appreciate our readers!
