:::Tsundere Spotlight:::

Hey everyone!

This TSL shines on Isurugi Mio from MM!

If you don't already know what MM! is about, check out my Fall Season Recommendations Post!

To sum it up (incase you're too lazy to click a hyperlink... =P) it's about a school club that tries to cure people's problems--and the weirdest ones to boot!

The main character is a Masochist (M is slang for Masochist)... and our star Tsundere of the Month, Mio-chan, is an unrealized innate Sadist! Can you imagine the comedy in that? It get's better than that--all the club members seem to have problems. I won't reveal everyone's problems because that's no fun--our focus today is Mio!

So who is Mio?

She's the main character (Sado Taro)'s senior and is the head of the school club called the Second Volunteer Club. When Sado comes in with his masochist problems she swears she'll cure it. The problem is (since she's a closet sadist) she attempts to cure his masochist with not just pain--no--EXTREME pain. Using twisted logic to justify her humorous attempts, she painfully gratifies Sado in a series of comical yet deadly events =P.

You might be thinking: She sounds like all Tsun--where's the Dere!?

Well she has a soft side too--her feelings begin to imply themselves as time goes on: Why does she try everything to help Sado? Why is she not willing to give up on him? etc. etc. And some of her attempts happen to be a little romantic but I'll stop here so as to not spoil much =P.

Her Tsun-dere switch is very pleasing to see and she's drawn with great art and seeing her smile is enough to brighten anyone's day! She's a very obvious tsundere with the mood switch personality as opposed to the "change over time" that is mentioned in *cough* Lucky Star's Lucky Channel in episode 10 *cough*!

Here's some pictures of her tsun-dere sides:

Tsun:

Dere:

She struggles to save Sado from his masochism while battling with her assumed "rivals" who try to take Sado away from her!

Will she cure Sado before he is taken away by some other girl? Will Mio give up on him? Is Sado the type of person to commit to one girl? And if so, what will happen to the hearts he breaks? Will the anime's love drama every be solved?

What? Why are you looking at me like that... you don't think--ehh??

I-I'm not telling you!...Baka! You'll have to watch the anime yourself to find out! See Mio-chan in action in MM! =P

That's all for today! Thanks for reading ^^,

Stay tuned for more! :) ... >:(

Otaku Helping Others! Part 5

Hey all! RPGHero here!
I usually don't make an "Otaku Helping Others!" post until after about a week has passed since the old one. But I had an idea for a new one that I have not written down in my planning.

Today's post is about!
The Aftermath of Being a Loser, Becoming a Winner!

What do I mean you say??

We've all felt it in our lives, that feeling that we're not good enough, that we can't do anything worthwhile, that we're losers. And sometimes before or after that, other people will call us losers and make fun of us... u.u

So what do we do after getting that feeling?

Many of us just want to give up, and we feel hopeless...

But don't give up! If you don't lose your courage and heart, you can become a winner!

In "Naruto", the main character for which the show is named is an outcast. All of his thirteen or fourteen year old life he's been made fun of, ostracized, and put down by basically everyone in his village. Turned out as a baby the village used his body to seal the horrible monster that ravaged their village and killed many (spoiler free). All his life he was singled out as a born loser because of that. But to Naruto, it seemed like he was just a loser. He didn't know why... He spent many days alone and lonely.

Well, all I can say is that Naruto worked hard non-stop for years. Naruto didn't back down from any challenge. People continued to reject him until he started to prove that he was important. Now in the new Shippuuden series, everyone remarks about how wrong they were and how screwed they'd be if it weren't for Naruto. Tried to keep it spoiler free.

My next point is gonna be told with an AMV...
This was made by Youtube channel "Newg4teforever".

In those clips from the show, "One Piece", a pirate named Bellamy told Luffy that being a pirate for the reason of searching for dreams and legends is bullshit. Luffy allowed himself to get beat up by the man because he wasn't going to fight a fight against someone who doesn't believe in his way of life. Soon after Bellamy and his crew hurt one of Luffy's friends and that's when he cut loose on those fools... I think the AMV tells it pretty well. The point is DON'T LET PEOPLE TELL YOU WHAT YOU ARE LIVING FOR, WHAT YOU ARE STRUGGLING FOR. Because that is up to you. I'd be like Luffy and not even fight those types of people, they are not worth your time.

There are many examples of this in anime but I think I've shed some light already.

This is for everyone who might be bullied, or hated on, put down, or ostracized. Don't give up because of what other people say. If you follow your dreams, you will be a winner no matter what!!!

And watch One Piece and Naruto for inspiration! Like us!

This is RPGHero signing out!

Welcome to
The Otaku Reviewers

This blog, "The Otaku Reviewers", was started in February of 2010 on this very same platform, Blogger. At first, it was a venture into the informational and informal world of comics, anime, video games, and Japanese culture. In other words, just a random blog.

Over time, the founder of the blog credited with the pseudonym "RPGhero" was joined by two fellow bloggers and friends with the names "Chansu" and "Deretsun". Together the three bloggers looked up interesting Japanese culture facts, recommended new anime, talked about their own "otaku" interests, and traveled across the United States to various anime conventions.

There have been off periods when the blog ceased production of content and there have been times when there would be dozens of blog posts per week. The schedule varies depending on the lives of the people behind the alias'. However the pattern is that we always get back into the game with even newer information about Japanese culture, anime, video games, and other nerdy hobbies.

The motto of our blog is:
"A cure for your apathy and an inspiration for your dreams. ...Applies to Otaku, anime fans, J-pop junkies, and the like"

The purpose is to blog about cool stuff related solely to anime and otaku stuff. There's no other reason we're doing this.

If you like our blog, please support us in however small a way that you would like. We appreciate our readers!

Check it out on Amazon!
