Month of Unlikely Anime Couples, December!

It's December!
The month of Christmas Coolness in all of its colorful, illuminated, and glorious forms! Also of chilly, red noses; hot chocolate, Christmas movies, decorating trees with ornaments and lights, vacations, movies and/or live Christmas shows, Santa Claus, St. Nick, Frosty the Snowman, Santa's elves, snow angels, snowmen, snowfall, Bing Crosby, The Love Hina Christmas special and so much more!
Here at the Otaku Reviewers weblog, we decided to mix it up just a little bit. So from us to you, December will be the "Month of Unlikely Anime Couples"!
Winter can be one of the best times of the year to become a couple with somebody else. In anime, there are a lot of would-be couples that just didn't make it. The same happens to most normal people in their own lives, and leaves us wondering... why? θ＼(；￢_￢)Anyway as December rolls on so will the Otaku Reviewers and we will be posting cool fan stuff often, dedicated to the Unlikely Character Pairs of Anime that could have been, a couple!

Happy Thanksgiving to All!
This is RPGhero here just wanting to wish all of the readers of the Otaku Reviewers weblog a Happy Thanksgiving. Just in case you didn't know, Thanksgiving is a North American holiday celebrated in the United States, Canada, and other North American places.
But like all holidays, there are big fans in other countries. This is true for especially for Thanksgiving and also in Japan!

Well for one, Japan is a bigger fan of the food chicken over turkey, which is the typical Thanksgiving meat for Americans. So instead of having to pardon (or not pardon) Mr. Turkey, there's a real choice that any Japanese family can make on their "Thanksgiving" dinner.
In Japan, it's technically "Labor Thanksgiving Day" and is a day dedicated to Japanese workers who work day in and day out during the rest of the year. It doesn't have vast political clout but it is a respected day off that the Japanese look forward to, just as Americans love and look forward to turkey dinner on Thanksgiving...

The Otaku Reviewers
This blog, "The Otaku Reviewers", was started in February of 2010 on this very same platform, Blogger. At first, it was a venture into the informational and informal world of comics, anime, video games, and Japanese culture. In other words, just a random blog.
Over time, the founder of the blog credited with the pseudonym "RPGhero" was joined by two fellow bloggers and friends with the names "Chansu" and "Deretsun". Together the three bloggers looked up interesting Japanese culture facts, recommended new anime, talked about their own "otaku" interests, and traveled across the United States to various anime conventions.
There have been off periods when the blog ceased production of content and there have been times when there would be dozens of blog posts per week. The schedule varies depending on the lives of the people behind the alias'. However the pattern is that we always get back into the game with even newer information about Japanese culture, anime, video games, and other nerdy hobbies.
The motto of our blog is:
"A cure for your apathy and an inspiration for your dreams. ...Applies to Otaku, anime fans, J-pop junkies, and the like"
The purpose is to blog about cool stuff related solely to anime and otaku stuff. There's no other reason we're doing this.
